ギリシャ マティは魔除けのお守り。マティを描いた可愛い小皿。
ギリシャマティ(イーブルアイ)は、2000年以上も前 古代ギリシャのガレー船(人力でオールを使って漕いで進む軍艦)に付けられていたものがのちに発見されました。当時は航海の安全を祈願して取り付けられていましたが、時代と共に変化し、他者の嫉妬やねたみの視線を人からそらして守るお守りとして身につけるようになったそうです。

Greek mati is a talisman that wards off evil. A cute small plate with a mati on it.
The Greek mati (evil eye) was later discovered attached to an ancient Greek galley (a warship rowed by hand using oars) more than 2000 years ago. At the time, it was attached to pray for safe voyages, but over time it changed and came to be worn as a talisman to protect people by deflecting the jealous and envious gazes of others.
