小石原焼は、小鹿田焼のルーツでもあり「兄弟窯」と呼ばれることもあります。大分県日田市皿山の小鹿田焼の里からほど近い、福岡県朝倉郡東峰村で開窯し350年続いています。重要無形文化財に指定され伝統を守ってきた小鹿田焼と技法は似ているものの、現代の生活を意識したデザインを取り入れていて、窯によってざまざまな個性があります。

This small dish is perfect for serving food on trays or large platters. It's also perfect for appetizers and hors d'oeuvres. It can also be used as a condiment holder or for desserts.

Koishiwara ware is the root of Onta ware and is sometimes called the "brother kiln." It was first established in Toho Village, Asakura County, Fukuoka Prefecture, not far from the Onta ware village of Sarayama, Hita City, Oita Prefecture, and has been in operation for 350 years. While the techniques are similar to Onta ware, which has been designated an Important Intangible Cultural Property and has preserved its traditions, Koishiwara ware incorporates designs that are conscious of modern life, and each kiln has its own unique character.
