大正ゆらゆらガラス。吹きガラスの技法で制作されています。持ちやすく温かみのあるデザイン。リムの赤がアクセントになっていて、とても素敵です。似たようなデザインのグラスはありますが、大量生産の製法でつくられたものと、重みのある一つ一つ手作りのグラスでは大きな違いがあります。大正ガラスのグラスでいただくビールやジュースやワインは格別です。

大正ガラスの特徴…現代のガラスと比べて歪みや不純物が多く厚みがあって気泡が入っていることが大きな違いです。また光の屈折によってガラス越しに見える景色が歪んで見えることも特徴の一つ。それがなんとも言えず魅力的です。大正ガラスは明治〜大正時代に製造されたガラスで、一つ一つハンドメイドで制作されているので、不規則な歪みがあって同じ形は二つとありません。

Taisho swaying glass. Made using blown glass techniques. Easy to hold and warm design. The red rim is a nice accent. There are glasses with similar designs, but there is a big difference between mass-produced glasses and heavy, handmade glasses. Beer, juice, and wine served in Taisho glass glasses are exceptional.

Characteristics of Taisho glass...Compared to modern glass, the big difference is that it has a lot of distortion and impurities, is thick, and has air bubbles. Another characteristic is that the scenery seen through the glass appears distorted due to refraction of light. This is indescribably attractive. Taisho glass is glass manufactured from the Meiji to Taisho eras, and each piece is handmade, so there are irregular distortions and no two pieces are the same.
