伊万里の染付の小皿です。14cmと少し大きめなサイズで、取り皿にして使いやすい大きさだと思います。しっかりした重みがある良いお品です。

鯉の滝登りモチーフは立身出世の象徴と云われており、縁起物として描かれていたのでしょう。菱紋をあしらった外周部の縁取りが、全体を引き締める役割を果たしています。

コンディション：窯キズがあります。制作時焼成時に鉱物が入ったようです。絵柄に使用に伴う掠れがございます。写真でご確認ください。

This is a small Imari blue and white plate. It is a little large at 14cm, so I think it is a good size to use as a side plate. It is a good item with a solid weight.

The motif of a carp climbing a waterfall is said to be a symbol of success and advancement, and was probably painted as a lucky charm. The diamond pattern on the outer edge tightens the whole piece.
