スージークーパー（1902〜1995）は20世紀を代表するイギリスの女性陶芸デザイナー。1922年グレイズポタリーに入社。デザイナーとしての才能が開花して1930年、スージークーパーポタリーを設立しました。1940年には英国王室のデザイナーとして認められました。1979年には大英帝国勲章を授与されました。デザイナーとして手掛けた作品は2000点以上にのぼり、世界中でコレクションされています。

Sepia-toned delicate floral painting. Unique design with a large raised edge on the saucer. Gives a modern impression. Beautiful white bone china.

Condition: There are some paint splatters and scratches, but it is a good, glossy item.

Susie Cooper (1902-1995) was one of the leading female British ceramic designers of the 20th century. She joined Gray's Pottery in 1922. Her talent as a designer blossomed and she founded Susie Cooper Pottery in 1930. In 1940, she was recognized as a designer for the British Royal Family. In 1979, she was awarded the Order of the British Empire. She created over 2,000 pieces of work as a designer, which are collected around the world.
