滋賀県の陶芸作家「西村栄高」さんの一点物の作品。

アイボリーの土に透明な釉薬が掛かっていて、所々にグリーンの模様が描かれています。蓋の周囲と持ち手には茶色の釉薬が掛けられていて、とてもチャーミングな印象です。3箇所小さなターコイズブルーの模様があって、とても印象的です。うつわ全体の細かい貫入が美しく、とても上品な印象を生み出しています。持ち手のフォルムや断面は、持ちやすいように作家さんが考え抜いた形で、本当に持ちやすい持ち手です。ろくろで一つ一つ丁寧に時間を掛けてつくられていて、高台の底にもきちんと釉薬を掛けていたり、作家さんの丁寧な仕事ぶりと作品にかける愛情が感じられます。

This is a one-of-a-kind piece by Shiga Prefecture ceramic artist "Eiko Nishimura".

The ivory color clay is covered in a transparent glaze, with green patterns here and there. The lid and handle are covered in brown glaze, giving it a very charming look. There are three small turquoise blue patterns that are very striking. The fine crazing throughout the vessel is beautiful, creating a very elegant impression. The shape and cross section of the handle were carefully designed by the artist to make it easy to hold, and it is truly easy to hold. Each piece is carefully crafted on a potter's wheel, with glaze even applied to the bottom of the base, giving a sense of the artist's careful work and love for his or her piece.
