マカイは、お茶碗やどんぶりを総称する沖縄の言葉。飯マカイは、マカイと飯を組み合わせた言葉で、ご飯茶碗を意味する言葉です。口径に対して高さが低く高台が広いのが特徴です。

This piece features a white glaze on a rough, whitish clay with an attractive blue line pattern.

The brown rim adds an accent.
