沖縄うるま市に工房を構える作家「駒形爽飛（こまがたそうひ）」さんの手仕事の良さが感じられる一点ものの作品。

このそばマカイでソーキそば食べたい！そんな気持ちにさせてくれる、温かみのある染付の緑と茶のデイゴ唐草のどんぶり。

特徴的な高台と口縁部のかたちが印象的です。緑と茶色のデイゴ唐草模様も素朴な味わいです。やちむんらしく、厚みがあって手に馴染んで使いやすいうつわです。こんなそばマカイで頂くソーキそばは、きっと絶品でしょう。

マカイは、お茶碗やどんぶりを総称する沖縄の言葉。そばマカイは、マカイもそばを組み合わせた言葉で、沖縄そばやうどん、天ぷらなどを盛り付けるどんぶりのことです。

デイゴは、マメ科、南アメリカのブラジル原産で、６月〜９月頃花が咲きます。目立つ蝶型の赤い花を下向きに咲かせます。沖縄では見事に花が咲けば咲くほど、台風が来る年になると言われているそうです。花言葉は、夢 生命力 活力 和。

In Okinawa, it is said that the more beautiful the flowers bloom, the more typhoons will come in the year. The flower language is dream, vitality, energy, and harmony.
