This is a product of Furutani Pottery, a popular Shigaraki company.
The glaze is the same color as a pear and has black spots here and there, making it look just like a real pear. You can use it to serve salads and stews, or to put sweets and nuts in...it will make for a fun dining table. It can be stacked with the "Pear Dish" for compact storage. It will be even more fun if you use them together.
